Etched and Carved is an overview of the variety of work that is being produced by some of the current members of Aberystwyth Printmakers, curated by Veronica Calarco.

Aberystwyth Printmakers was established in 2004 by a group of artists who employed a range of printmaking techniques in their work, including etching, lithography, screenprinting, wood engraving, woodcut and linocut. From this initial group, Aberystwyth Printmakers has grown to approximately seventy members with an open access print studio in the Old College in Aberystwyth. The principle aim of the group is the promotion of printmaking in Mid and West Wales, which occurs through regular meetings, talks, lectures, workshop demonstrations and exhibitions of members work. In recent years the group has exhibited widely throughout Wales, England and Scotland and further afield in the USA, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and China and exhibited and attended Impact 10 – the major International printmaking festival.
